PORTRAIT OF
A SIEGE GENERATION
In March 2002 CMCE began working with 25 students
at the Arts Secondary School in Sarajevo. The students
named their project Portrait of a Siege Generation
and sought to show the world through art and writing
what they had experienced during and after the war
in Bosnia and what they imagine for themselves in
the future. This project culminated with an exhibition
at the International Peace Center Gallery in Sarajevo
in August 2003. Many of the works on this site were
included in that show, which was also titled Portrait
of a Siege Generation.
