Frame Forgotton Portrait of a Siege Generation
New York Visit 2003
In this section you can view three short video documentaries related to the Aftershocks
exhibition. The first is titled Frame Forgotten
and tells the story of the beginning of CMCE's program in Bosnia, introducing
you to the students, their artwork and their city Sarajevo. The second is titled
Portrait of a Siege Generation and includes
in-depth interviews with some of the Sarajevo artists and introduces students
from Lukavica who joined the program in June 2004. This piece also tracks the
Sarajevo artists as they work on many of the pieces you have been viewing in this
online exhibition, and includes footage of their first show in Sarajevo in August
2004. The third video documentary covers the experiences of three of the Bosnian
teenagers, Una Dobrinic, Ismet Lisica and Nermina Nuhodzic in New
York where they have come to attend in the opening of Aftershocks
at the United Nations last November. This short but intimate and hopeful piece
captures a transformative moment in the lives of these young survivors. |
