Group design executed by Edin Durmisevic

This sculpture uses plaster life-casts of the faces of 13 of the 25 participants in CMCE's Portrait of a Siege Generation program in Sarajevo. It will eventually be lit from within and may include the recorded voices of some of the students talking about their lives. Though it may appear somber or stark, the piece is meant to symbolize the students' preparation for new life -- after the chrysalis opens.
